In my last Posting ,I discussed at length about learning the act of being single by developing your self in all areas of your life .today I am going to specifically talk about developing your responsibility level. The bible states in Mathew 25:21, "well done, good and faithful servant, you were faithful over a few things ,I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord" Are you a good and faithful custodian of what God has presently given to you? have you been able to manage your money, your temperament, and most especially your time .Have you been able to manage your kitchen and your daily meals properly and attractively.do you have a healthy weekly menu planned out for yourself? or are you one of those ladies that are into fast foods. What about the accommodation God has given you, have you been able to turn it into a home? Remember that while you are praying for God to give you a God fearing man that will love you and provide for you and the children you will be blessed with, you should also be a woman that can cook and turn a house into a home ,because a young man some where is also praying for a woman that will be a "good thing" that he finds.
My dearest ladies, sit back once in a while and do a check list for your self and try to use it to audit yourself frequently especially in the area that you are not managing too well. for example if you are not a good cook, you can learn how to make several nutritious meals and also learn how to spread these meals and come up with a weekly nutritious menu you could also learn the fine art of home making and how to decorate your house to make it look more homely.
Being faithful with the present responsibilities you have in your life now trains you, and sets you up to have better control of a husband, children and your home when the time comes. If you cannot handle the responsibilities you have now ,why would God add to what you already cannot handle? how can he trust you with more responsibilities if what you have now clearly overwhelms you.
Do not be overwhelmed by the thought that you may be too old to learn any new thing now no,,just get a paper and biro and write out the things you think you need to do and start doing them one by one
believe me when you start doing this, you will begin to feel a sense of accomplishment .and the value you actually place on yourself will increase .and you will gradually learn to withstand the pressures of life which in essence will prepare you to handle the pressures of marriage.
So Ladies out there, manage well what God has put in your hands now., that He may see that you are ready to manage more.
