The difference between the effect of these challenges on these two individuals was the strength of there foundations.A tree with very deep roots or foundations is not easily uprooted by whatever challenges life throws its way.Strong rocky foundations do not develop overnight .they are gradually built as you overcome daily temptations ,and go through challenges and come out on top .The greater the challenges you overcome ,the stronger your faith develops and the stronger your christian foundations.This foundations has to be laid before you even think of pitching your tent with another human being in the act of marriage A famous preacher said that an omelette is as good as the eggs that is used to make it.if the eggs are rotten then you will end up with a rotten omelette.What I am saying is that when two people with sandy christian foundations come together, their foundation may not be strong enough to withstand the rains ,floods and the winds that life may throw their way.any little challenge may cause them to seek a separation or divorce.Do you want to have a long lasting marriage?Then begin when you are single to lay Rocky christian foundations because believe me ,as surly as night turns into day ,challenges will come your way and only with a strong foundation will you be able to count it all joy when you are faced with these challenges and stand firm and believe that something good will come out of it.May God continue to give us understanding.
