When most people first see this, they will first disagree and even begin to argue.calm down first and read on. Do not be fooled by the feelings you think you have when you first meet someone you are very much attracted to.Do not get married based on the fact that he or she makes your heart jump every time you see him or her. Do not get married because you think you are in love.For example I love bicycles but I do not know how to ride them.You can love something but do not know how to do them or how to make them work.You find out that love in itself is not the problem,it is lark of knowledge on how to function in the situation that is the problem.Love alone does not keep a couple together for long.And I am sure that those that are divorced today will agree with me.If you are divorced today, that means you were once in love with the person .That means you did not lark love,but there were some other things that came up in the relationship that were stronger and more powerful than the love you felt for each other.I want to state here that a successful Marriage is as a result of the application of knowledge.You can express the love and passion you have for one another as much as you want that is never a guarantee that you will remain with each other for long.Proverbs 4 : 7-8 states that "Wisdom is supreme and in all your getting get wisdom.Though it cost all you have, get understanding".You need to understand what it means to be a woman, and what it means to be a man.You have to understand the idiosyncrasies and uniqueness of the Male and female.you have to understand communication skills,how to manage emotions, how to handle anger.how to handle the dynamics of disagreement,how to handle unfaithfulness and so on.If you do not have an understanding of these things, you will dump that marriage at the very first sign of a challenge.Many Marriages today that have gone bad may have been saved if the individuals had the knowledge to fix situations.Most marriage problems can be fixed but the problem is that some of the individuals get tired of trying while some just do not know where to start to try to fix the problem. and believe me, problems can make you tired.It is so true when the bible in the book of Hosea 4 ,6-7 says that "my people perish as a result of lark of knowledge and because you rejected knowledge, I the Lord also reject you as my Priest".Rejection simple means that we have the choice to seek to find out how to be a good husband or how to be a good wife.but the greatest problem is that we do not bother to do that before we jump into Marriage.Remember one thing, Ignorance is generational.If you cannot get Married and stay married, there is a great chance that your children might follow your footsteps.So please learn ,read books ,get knowledge,not just for your self but for your unborn children.
